Wolves invite Sondre Auklend back for second trial

Wolverhampton Wanderers are thought to be prepared to take a second look at a promising youngster.

According to a report by Stavanger Aftenblad, via Sport Witness, Wolves have invited Viking’s Sondre Auklend back to the club after impressing on an original trial.

The 15-year-old made a big impression at the Premier League side, as he allegedly did not look out of his depth with players older than him, hence the reason he has been offered another chance to shine.

Wolves, who have famously looked towards Portugal for a number of their recruits, are now thought to be taking an interest in Scandinavia as they look to bring a number of talented prospects to Molineux.

Gary Goodchild was employed as their head scout for the area last season as he has a vast experience and knowledge of the region, something the Midlands outfit want to capitalise on.

The Verdict:

Auklend must have some serious talent if Wolves are considering a second trial for the Norwegian midfielder.

The 15-year-old has already represented his country at youth level and has been playing for Viking in their Under-19 side this season.

Wolves have been no strangers to looking for talent within Scandinavia so far, as they have looked at a few players in the region this year.
