Wolves look to smash transfer record with bid for talented Premier League youngster

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased with the recruitment work that Nuno Espirito Santo has already completed this summer.

Wolves have strengthened in a number of areas with some major coups during the transfer window with the likes of Raul Jimenez and Rui Patricio joining the club, whilst stars like Willy Boly, Diogo Jota, Leo Bonatini and Ruben Vinagre have all committed to permanent deals.

However, according to a report in the Star and Express, it does not appear that the Molineux outfit have completed their rebuild ahead of the upcoming Premier League season and are prepared to smash their transfer record.

It is being claimed that Nuno is interested in bringing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City with a £16million bid being tabled. To make things even more interesting, it is believed Pep Guardiola will sanction a move, despite giving the youngster a fair amount of playing time last season.

The Ukraine international is extremely versatile and can play in either an attacking or defensive role, which makes the 21-year-old a really attractive signing.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Wolves fans in the Tavern would be delighted to see a player like Zinchenko arrive this summer as he would be able to help improve their team massively, despite his young age.

It would remain to be seen how Nuno would use the Ukrainian, however, he would certainly make an impact for the side whether it be in an attacking or defensive capacity.
