Wolves: Nuno Espirito Santo eyeing up Kenan Karaman - Premier League

Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to bring in Fortuna Dusseldorf striker Kenan Karaman as a replacement for Raul Jimenez, according to reports.

Who is Wolves' PL top goal scorer?

As a cheaper alternative, Fussball Transfers (via Sport Witness) revealed that Wolves have identified Karaman as the man to fill Jimenez’s shoes.

Currently playing his trade in Bundesliga 2, the 17-cap Turkey international has scored 24 goals with Hannover and Dusseldorf combined from a total of 145 outings (TransferMarkt).

Transfer Tavern Verdict

With just three goals from nine outings this season (TransferMarkt), this is a drastic cutback from what Jimenez has produced, as he’s found the net on 47 occasions in 110 outings.

That being said, Wolves need to add attacking reserves, but adding a cheaper option from a player playing in the second tier of German football may not be the way to approach it.

Time will tell what funds are at Nuno’s disposal once the January transfer window opens its doors.
