Rumours surrounding Wolverhampton Wanderers and a player represented by Jorge Mendes never seem to be too far apart.
And, it appears one European outfit are looking to take advantage of the relationship between the two parties to try and offload one of their flops this summer.
What’s the News?
According to a report by Calciomercato, AC Milan have offered Wolves the chance to sign Andre Silva in the upcoming transfer window.
The 23-year-old has no future at the San Siro and with Sevilla likely to decline their chance of signing him permanently after securing a deal for Munas Dabbur, Milan are now looking for Mendes to find his client a new home.
It is hardly a surprise these days that Wolves get mentioned when it comes down to a player who is represented by Mendes given the relationship between the two parties over the last few seasons.
However, this is a deal that the Premier League outfit might just be better off avoiding this summer as Silva has hardly been an impressive player with his performances.
The 23-year-old has struggled during his loan spell with Sevilla, having netted just nine times in his 27 La Liga appearances (with his last goal coming in January), whilst the fact that the Spanish outfit appears to have opted against making his temporary stay permanent must speak volumes.
Couple those with the fact that Wolves just shelled out £30million for Raul Jimenez recently, whether they will be willing to fork out what would have to be another hefty fee for another forward so quickly is questionable.
And, Wolves may have been handed a favour by Silva recently anyways, as he is thought to be against a move to the club because they do not match the ambitions he has for his own career – those are his words.
Wolves fans, what would you like to see the club do in the summer? Go for Silva or opt against a move for him? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
