Wolves seek additional attacking firepower with reported interest in 25-year-old

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans here in the Tavern are looking forward to the next campaign, with their sights set firmly on securing a European spot.

Indeed, the Midlands club were dominant last season but the Premier League will be a completely different test, so they’ll need to welcome a couple more players to the club this summer. Interestingly, it looks as if they’re taking a look at another player at the World Cup, as according to AS, Wolves are interested in Colombia star Juan Quintero.

Juan Fernando Quintero has been one of the stars at the World Cup so far, which has seen him attract the attention of the likes of Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves.

Worryingly, it’s believed that Real Madrid have made contact having identified him as a possible replacement for Mateo Kovacic, so a possible deal could be out of Wolves’ reach.

Landlord’s Verdict:

The midfielder has established himself as one of the shining lights at the World Cup so far, so it comes as no surprise that Wolves are interested in bringing him to Molineux this summer. Although, with the likes of Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur also looking on with intent, the Midlands club may not stand a chance.

Interestingly, Wolves may be looking to bring in some attacking firepower after seeing Benik Afobe and Leo Bonatini depart, so bringing Juan Quintero to the club would be sure to bolster their ranks.
