Wolves said to be interested in Rafa Camacho - Latest News

There will be an obvious disappointment around Molineux following Wolverhampton Wanderers’ exit from the FA Cup, however, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can only hold their heads high after the campaign that they have had this season.

Wolves will look to build on those impressive performances next year and will look to strengthen their squad with some quality additions in the summer and one youngster allegedly on their radar could be perfect for the side.

What’s the News?

Wolves are understood to be a number of clubs interested in Liverpool’s Rafa Camacho this summer, according to a report by Goal, with Sporting Lisbon and Benfica also thought to be keeping tabs on the winger.

It is claimed the 18-year-old, who made his professional debut against Nuno’s side in the FA Cup earlier this season, could set the club back a fee of around £10million.

The Verdict:

Camacho is certainly a talented youngster and he could be another Portuguese footballer that could thrive at Wolves under Nuno’s guidance.

The winger, who can play on either flank, would also be able to play at the back and provide the Molineux outfit with some options, as the likes of Adama Traore and Ivan Cavaleiro have failed to really show why they are at the club.

The duo have struggled to make a real impression with their performances and have left plenty at Molineux scratching their heads as to what they can offer moving forward.

And, you would have to say, Wolves would surely be securing a bargain for a player of Camacho’s talent, especially if the £10m figure is anything to go by.

His performances for the developmental side at Melwood this season will have only gone further to prove how good he is and the potential he has to offer.

Camacho has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in his 18 appearances across all competitions for the youth side.

The 18-year-0ld has already had a taste of first-team action at Liverpool, however, he is unlikely to make a breakthrough in the first-team at Anfield and Nuno’s side could be the ones to give him his chance.

Wolves fans, do you think Camacho could fit into the team straight away if he were to arrive at Molineux? Do you think he would be better than Cavaleiro and Traore? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
