Wolves set to hand out several debuts in Premier League opener

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking forward to kicking off their Premier League campaign with a home fixture against Everton.

The two sides meet in Saturday’s evening clash and the Molineux outfit will be looking to get off to a great start.

And, according to a match preview by the BBC Sport website, Nuno Espirito Santo could hand a number of his new players their debuts.

World Cup men Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez are all poised to make their first appearance for the club following their summer arrivals.

Jonny, who signed from Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan, could also feature for Nuno’s side.

However, it does appear that a number of players will need to wait a little longer before they can get out in front of a Molineux crowd.

It is believed that last minute arrivals Adama Traore and Leander Dendocnker will not feature for Wolves on Saturday evening as they are yet to have trained fully with their new team-mates.

The Verdict:

Wolves will be full of confidence that they can be a threat in the Premier League this season and will look to make a statement against an Everton side who have also improved themselves.

Times look exciting for the Molineux outfit with the newest additions and there will be a buzz around the stadium to see those players in action as kick-off draws closer.

Nuno will be expecting to see his side continue from their Championship-winning campaign, however, he will realise that the Premier League is a completely different type of football and will be looking for his side to be competitive.
