Wolves should look to bring in £20m-rated Portuguese star in January

Wolves should look to bring in £20m-rated Portuguese star in January - Opinion

Wolves have takent to life back in the Premier League with ease, and look firmly on course for a top half finish under Nuno Santo.

The Molineux club haven’t spent the sums many expected them too when they returned to the top flight after romping clear in the Championship, and it will be interesting to see how they go about their business in the January window when it opens in a few days.

Manager Santo will no doubt be keen to see his board back him with a few new additions if he wants them, and one man we feel could well be a superb signing for the club is Inter Milan attacking midfielder Joao Mario, who spent time in England with West Ham last term.

The Portuguese star, still only 25, has bags of talent in the locker, and he could fit in nicely to a Wolves side which can at times lack that little bit of creative flair from the number 10 position.

While Mario didn’t quite display his best form for the Hammers last term, he remains a class act on his day, and is certainly someone who would turn heads if he signed for the Midlanders.

Valued at some £20m by Transfermarkt, Mario would bring goals, assists, and creative flair to a Wolves side who are well on their way to having a successful first stint back in the Premier League.

Wolves fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
