Glenn Murray’s 100th goal for Brighton and Hove Albion was enough to secure all three points for the Seagulls against Wolves.

The Englishman broke the deadlock shortly after the break to become the second highest scorer in the club’s history. Despite controlling possession and hitting shots on target, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were unable to find a way through Brighton’s stubborn defence. The hosts held on for all three points and Wolves will feel they deserved to leave with at least a point.

Despite the defeat, Wolves remain firmly in mid-table after making a decent start to their first season back in the Premier League. Scoring goals remains an issue if the Midlands club are going to kick on during the Christmas period. With just nine goals in ten games, it’s clear they need to target a new forward in January.

The answer to their problems could be Kasimpasa star – Mbaye Diagne. Valued at just £2.25m by Transfermarkt, the striker has been scoring for fun since joining the club in January. The former Juventus man ended his first season with 12 goals in just 17 games after finally finding his feet in Turkey.

Diagne’s impressive form in front of goal has continued into the new season with 11 goals in just ten appearances in the Super Lig this season. His extraordinary showings earned his first call-up to the Senegal national team back in September, and he has been a regular ever since. Diagne is an instinctive finisher who loves to play off the last man – he would be ideally suited to life in the Premier League.

If Wolves want to increase their goals in the New Year – Diagne is the man to take them forward.
