Signing Nacer Chadi would be a smart move by Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans can’t wait for the 2018/19 Premier League season to get started.

Wolves were a runaway success in the Championship last season, winning the title with ease and earning promotion back to the Premier League. Owners Fosun International backed Nuno Espirito Santo in the transfer market, and the Portuguese tactician did not disappoint. They will kick off their first season back in the Premier League against Everton.

The Wolves boss has wasted no time in the transfer market. Wolves have completed seven permanent signings already this summer at a transfer outlay of over £39m. The Molineux faithful will also be delighted to see star player, Ruben Neves, commit his future to the club with a new contract.

Avoiding relegation is no easy task and Wolves need players with experience of playing at the highest level. Therefore, they should attempt to sign Nacer Chadli from West Brom. Valued at £9m by Transfermarkt, the Belgian became their record signing in 2016, joining from Tottenham in a £16m deal. Following the Baggies’ relegation, he will likely leave the club.

His performances for Belgium at the World Cup could increase interest in his services and Wolves must move quickly to secure his signature. Injuries and fall out with Tony Pulis meant Chadli endured a dismal season at the Hawthorns.

A fresh start with Wolves would be perfect to rediscover his form.
