Lots of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans miss former left-back Barry Douglas after comments emerged on the club’s official website.
Douglas was speaking to the club about the dramatic away match at Cardiff City in the Championship where the Midlands-based side won 1-0 thanks to a free kick from Ruben Neves, which moved them nine points clear at the top of the league, according to Sky Sports.
As per the report, the Bluebirds also missed two penalties in stoppage-time as the Wanderers held on for an important victory, as Neves was given man-of-the-match with an eight out of 10 rating.
However, Douglas has claimed credit for Ruben’s winner. He explains that the wall crept forward, and he warned referee Mike Dean of it, with Dean apparently saying that he will give them 11 yards instead of 10 for the free kick to be taken. Neves turned to Douglas after he scored and uttered ‘there you go’.
The 30-year old boasts 78 goal contributions (goals and assists) in his club career, despite playing the majority of games in defence, according to Transfermarkt.
