Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted to footage of their former ace Ronald Zubar as a throwback goal of his was shared on the Midlands club’s official Twitter page.
In the clip set at Molineux on the 20th December 2011, the ex-central defender can be seen towering home a powerful header past Norwich City’s goalkeeper John Ruddy, who incidentally is at Wolves now. The strike earned his side a late point as he went on to celebrate both with his teammates and the WWFC faithful.
Indeed, Zubar enjoyed a fine time in the gold and black strip, making 69 appearances in all competitions across four seasons, scoring a handy four times in total and producing five assists, according to Transfermarkt.
The 34-year old has also played for the likes of AC Ajaccio, New York Red Bulls, Olympique Marseille and SM Caen, as per the website.
Would prime Zubar get into your current starting eleven?
These supporters reacted to the video on Twitter:
Great player. I'd have liked to see how someone of his talent would have fitted into our system now
