Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been talking about Diogo Jota potentially following in Nuno Espirito Santo’s footsteps and one day becoming manager of the club.
A post from journalist Tim Spiers on Twitter revealed that the 23-year old has been spending time in quarantine playing the virtual game Football Manager, where you can manage a club of your choice and take them wherever you want them to go through simulation of games.
Jota was revealed by the journalist to have taken over Telford United, where he has reportedly got them promoted to the Premier League in the year 2029 in the game.
Jokingly or not, some supporters have suggested that the Portuguese international could one day succeed Nuno as head coach because of his triumph, whilst others simply praised his managerial skills.
The attacker has made 158 appearances under the Portuguese coach, both for the Wanderers and FC Porto, for whom he has scored 52 goals and provided 26 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
These supporters hailed their man under the tweet, with some, perhaps satirically, suggesting that he could replace Nuno one day:

If he takes the roll of player manager he could fire them in to the Champions League within 6 or 7 seasons.
