Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been expressing their disappointment at a report that defender Ryan Bennett is close to sealing a loan move away from the Midlands club.
According to Sky Sports (via Tim Spiers), the side have agreed on a deal with Leicester City for the central defender with the player set to undergo a medical ahead of a temporary move away till the end of the season. However, the Foxes are understood to hold the option of making the transfer a permanent one in the summer.
Bennett has been in and out of the first-team this campaign, featuring in 19 games across all competitions with just 11 of those coming in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt). His longest run of starts in the top-flight was four games, at the beginning of the season, before he was left out for the following three games. When compared to his fellow centre-halves, Bennett averages the joint-least number of fouls per game in the premier division, as per WhoScored.
Fans were feeling dismayed that the 29-year-old seems to be heading t0wards the exit as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from some of the Molineux faithful:

Ridiculous to let him go. Ryan is as dependable as they come. Boly, Cody and Bennett is still the best we have. To LEICESTER as well. Crazy!! Have they forgotten THAT tackle against Chelsea? #wwfc
