Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans unimpressed with Raul Jimenez’s latest showing - Wolves

A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were left far from impressed with what they saw from Raul Jimenez on Saturday afternoon, with many taking to Twitter to slam the Mexican forward.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were held to a goalless draw at Molineux by Brighton and Hove Albion as they failed to take full advantage of drawing level with Chelsea on points in the race for a top-four finish in this season’s Premier League challenge.

Indeed, many appeared to feel Jimenez was a player they could point their fingers at to blame, with many feeling the 28-year-old forward was far from his best and his form has not been of a high standard as of late.

Thus, when taking a look at his individual statistics from the match against Brighton, it becomes rather evident as to why the Mexico international was receiving a little more criticism than he may have done so throughout his Wolves career to date.

According to WhoScored, Jimenez had four attempts on goal but only found the target once, although he did play two key passes to his team-mates and win four aerial duels. However, those figures did not appear to do him enough to earn any more than a match rating of just 6.24 – the second-lowest of any of the Old Gold team on the day.

Here are just some of the reactions a plethora of the Wolves faithful had regarding their star striker…

Wolves fans, what did you make of Jimenez’s performance? Let us know below!
