Wolves are in the hunt to sign a prodigious Scottish talent who is also being pursued by the likes of Celtic and Manchester United.
The Scottish Sun reported that the Molineux club are hopeful of signing 15-year-old Ross County starlet James Graham, who has reportedly earned rave reviews with his performances for the Dingwall club’s underage teams.
According to The Scottish Sun, the teenager has had trials with Manchester United and reportedly impressed the Old Trafford club, while he also spent time at Liverpool’s youth academy last autumn. Just before he temporarily left for Merseyside, Ross County’s Head of Academy Operations Jim Kelly declared that the 15-year-old had “consistently shown his qualities” for the Scottish club’s youth teams.
Wolves’ reported interest in Graham maintains the club’s focus on recruiting some of the brightest young talents in the UK and abroad, having signed Luke Matheson from Rochdale in January as well as bringing in Enzo Loiodice and Leo Campana. Last summer, the Molineux outfit utilised their European scouting network to recruit Meritan Shabani from Bayern Munich and Renat Dadashov from Estoril.
Wolves’ pursuit of Graham indicates that they are refreshingly committed to seeking out talented youngsters from the UK, as well as other parts of the globe, in the hope of landing a rough diamond that can be honed into a crown jewel.
With regular European participants such as Celtic, Liverpool and Manchester United all having shown an interest, it would represent an excellent coup by the Molineux club if they can usurp all other suitors to secure the signature of the highly promising 15-year-old from Ross County.
