Wolves: Fans appreciate good luck message from Europa League victims FC Pyunik

Wolves ensured their place in the group stage of the Europa League last night after getting the better of Torino in the play-off round.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men got into the play-offs after defeating FC Pyunik in the previous round and the Armenian side showed there were no hard feelings by sportingly congratulating Wolves on Twitter (via @FC_Pyunik).

FC Pyunik were dismissed with ease by the Premier League club, who followed up their 4-0 first leg win in Armenia by repeating that scoreline in the return clash at Molineux a week later.

While Nuno’s side can now look forward to Europa League group stage football, that level remains frustratingly elusive for FC Pyunik.

They have been eliminated in the tournament’s qualifying rounds for seven of the last eight seasons, having been vanquished in the Champions League qualifiers for 10 years in a row up to 2011/12. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]

These Wolves fans took to Twitter to show their appreciation for FC Pyunik’s gracious message of good luck to the Premier League side:
