Wolves: Fans call for Leander Dendoncker to be dropped for Crystal Palace game

Joe Edwards, Wolves correspondent for the Express & Star, outlined his preferred line-up for the team’s game against Crystal Palace this weekend on his Twitter account @JoeEdwards_Star.

He called for Nuno Espirito Santo to go with “the XI that drove Wolves to dizzy heights last season” as the Molineux outfit aim to arrest a three-game losing sequence in all competitions.

The 11 players in Edwards’ suggested line-up were indeed the players with the most gametime for Nuno’s side in 2018/19, each playing for more than 2,000 minutes. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]

If the Wolves manager goes with the team that Edwards has picked, there will be two changes from the side that started the Europa League defeat to Braga on Thursday, with Joao Moutinho coming in for Morgan Gibbs-White in midfield and Diogo Jota replacing Patrick Cutrone in attack.

If that is the Wolves team for the game at Selhurst Park, there will be no place in the side for midfielder Romain Saiss, which would go against the wishes of these Wolves fans who have called for him to start instead of Leander Dendoncker:

Do you agree with Edwards’ selection or should Saiss start ahead of Dendoncker against Crystal Palace? Have your say by commenting below!
