Wolves: Fans delighted with Raul Jimenez’s goalscoring form

Less than a month after the start of the Premier League season, Wolves striker Raul Jimenez is almost halfway to matching his goals tally from the entire 2018/19 campaign.

Having scored 17 times in all competitions last term, the Mexico striker netted eight times in August 2019 alone, as highlighted by his club’s official Twitter channel @Wolves.

While Jimenez’s excellent goal tally has been helped by Wolves having 10 matches so far this season due to their Europa League participation compared to just four by the end of last August, his goals-per-game ratio has still vastly improved.

From 17 goals in 44 appearances last season (one per 2.59 games), he has already netted eight times in 10 appearances this term (one per 1.25 games).

Jimenez has scored six goals in Europa League qualifying for Wolves and two in the Premier League, and has been on target in each of his last four matches. [via]
