Wolves: Fans laud Rui Patricio after penalty save against Manchester United

Rui Patricio’s penalty save from Paul Pogba helped Wolves to secure a 1-1 draw against Manchester United last night, the goalkeeper making his crucial stop with the teams on level terms in the second half, and Wolves’ official Twitter channel unsurprisingly saluted the Portugal ‘keeper afterwards.
And a moment of appreciation for this man…

Midway through the second half, Pogba was deemed to have been tripped by Conor Coady in the hosts’ penalty area and referee Jon Moss pointed to the spot. The Manchester United midfielder picked himself up to take the penalty, which was emphatically beaten away by Patricio.
That was actually the only save the 31-year-old made last night, with the visitors managing just two shots on target at Molineux.
Patricio has now saved two of the five in-game penalties he has faced since joining Wolves a year ago, having also kept out Joshua King in a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth back in February.
He also made three saves in the penalty shoot-out success against Manchester City in the Premier League Asia Trophy last month, as reported by The Guardian.
These Wolves fans on Twitter showed their appreciation for Patricio after last night’s match:
Let’s take a little longer …..
