Wolves: Fans name the teams they’d like to get in Europa League draw

Wolves stand on the brink of reaching the Europa League group stage after last week’s 3-2 win away to Torino in the first leg of their play-off tie.

If Nuno Espirito Santo’s men can avoid defeat to the Serie A side at Molineux in the second leg tomorrow night, they will advance to the group stage. A 0-1 or 1-2 defeat would also put them through on the away goals rule.

The @TalkingWolves Twitter channel couldn’t help getting excited at the prospect of Europa League group stage football and claimed that Wolves would likely be in Pot 3 for Friday’s draw if they finish the job against Torino.

@TalkingWolves also outlined their likely possible opponents from Pot 1, which includes five-time UEFA Cup/Europa League winners Sevilla, Nuno’s former club Porto and Rui Patricio’s former club Sporting.

The Serie A duo of Roma and Lazio could also be drawn against Wolves if Nuno’s men get through the play-off round, with the latter selling Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao to the Molineux club earlier this month.

Wolves could not play either Arsenal or Manchester United in the group stage as teams from the same country cannot be drawn into the same group.

These Wolves fans on Twitter identified some of the probable Pot 1 teams they would like to meet:
