Wolves: Fans praise Daniel Podence whilst begging Nuno Espirito Santo to play him more
Responding to an image uploaded by Wolverhampton Wanderers’ official account, many Wolves supporters have been in awe over attacking midfielder Daniel Podence – with a few supporters instructing manager Nuno Espirito Santo to ‘give him more game time‘.
Podence has barely featured for Wolves since signing from Olympiakos in January to the tune of £16.6 million, amassing just 43 league minutes over four substitute appearances in the Black Country (WhoScored). However, he replaced Diogo Jota mid-way through the second half in the 0-0 stalemate at home to Brighton last weekend and in the 15 minutes he played at Molineux, the 24-year-old made one key pass and attempted a blocked shot at goal – all the while racking up a 62% pass success rate, as per SofaScore.
Judging by these numbers, which could suggest Podence may have more of an influential impact when given the opportunity, many Wolves fans have flocked to praise the ‘class‘ new signing whilst also suggesting he play more often.
