Wolves fans are extremely excited after journalist Tim Spiers relayed an update on a possible deadline day signing.
According to Pete O’Rourke, news which was relayed and confirmed by Spiers, Wolves have agreed a deal to sign Rochdale wonderkid Luke Matheson. The 17 year-old is set to have a medical today after the two clubs agreed a ‘high seven-figure fee‘ to bring him to Molineux.
Spiers added more to O’Rourke’s report, claiming that ‘a lot of Premier League clubs’ were monitoring the ‘very highly rated’ teenage sensation, who shot to stardom after scoring at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup only to go back to school for exams the following morning, per The Telegraph.
Matheson plays mostly as an attack-minded right-back, per Transfermarkt, providing two goals and two assists in the position this season, so could be seen as a long-term successor to 28 year-old Matt Doherty.
