The fan account @TalkingWolves tweeted out the appointments which will see David Coote referee against Sheffield United and Andre Marriner against West Ham United. Stuart Attwell will be in the VAR box in the former match and Andy Madley will do the latter.

The East Midlands club have been in great form recently and have surged into fifth spot. Despite having a bit of a rocky start, they have now asserted themselves within the Premier League and the Europa League and are very much impressing. So much so, that Arsenal are reportedly targetting their Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo for the managerial role at the Emirates.

Nuno’s side have not lost in the Premier League since they played Chelsea at Molineux on September 14.

Lots of fans responded to the refereeing appointments – and not many are happy about it. One supporter even asked why is an Aston Villa fan allowed to referee their match, referencing Andre Marriner who supports the Villans.
