Wolves: Fans react with delight to Adama Traore statistic

Adama Traore is enjoying an effective start to the season for Wolves, as illustrated by a statistic tweeted by one local journalist.

Joe Edwards (@JoeEdwards_Star), who writes about the club for the Express & Star, pointed to the 23-year-old’s vastly improved contribution of assists for the early weeks of this season compared to the entirety of 2018/19.

Whether Traore has already matched his tally of assists from last season is open to question, as TransferMarkt.co.uk and FCtables.com both cite his current number of 2019/20 assists at two, with both coming in the Europa League qualifiers.

Even if the number of assists may have been misquoted by Edwards, his point about Traore’s markedly improved creative output remains pertinent.

According to TransferMarkt.co.uk, the winger has two assists from six appearances (one in three games) and 392 minutes of gametime (one per 196 minutes) so far this season.

Last season, he had three assists in 36 appearances (one every 12 games) spread over 1,255 minutes, one assist every 418.33 minutes. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]

Traore is already well on course to exceed his total minutes and assists from last season and these Wolves fans on Twitter are very pleased with the start that he has made to the campaign, while also praising manager Nuno Espirito Santo for his coaching of the player:
