With Wolves taking on Leicester City in the Premier League on Friday, naturally, it has given the club an excuse to remind everyone what happened the last time the two sides faced off at Molineux.
After a Leicester fightback, Diogo Jota completed his hat-trick in stoppage time to give Nuno Espirito Santo’s men all three points in an incredible 4-3 encounter. The 23-year-old’s winner sent the Portuguese coach running down the touchline in celebration, undoubtedly delighted and relieved after watching his side blow a 2-0 lead.
Following early goals from Jota and Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady levelled things up when he put the ball into the back of his own net to add to Demarai Gray’s strike at the beginning of the second half. Jota then restored the lead, only for Wes Morgan to cancel that out just before the 90th minute.
Can Wolves keep hold of Raul Jimenez?
However, it was Jota who had the last laugh, netting the winner to the despair of Claude Puel.
Both the club and supporters have been looking back at that win, as you can see below…
