Nuno Espirito Santo has told the press via their official Twitter feed that he is “extremely proud” of his team after they secured qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League, to which many fans have responded.
With rumours in the Daily Mail that Arsenal are sniffing around for the Portuguese coach, plenty of the responses were based around telling him to stay at Molineux and to carry on the journey that he has already begun.
His side managed to draw 3-3 in Braga yesterday evening, and even though he said how he was proud, he will be disappointed that they threw away a 3-1 lead given that the Portuguese outfit are now leading the group and therefore will go through as the top seed as it stands.
Nuno went onto thank the fans for their dedication, too, referencing the 6,000 that made the effort of coming down with the flight and the travel.
These words clearly played on the heartstrings of their fanbase, as plenty of supporters replied to the quotes on Twitter with positive messages for their coach.
