Many Wolves fans have responded on Twitter to rumours that Romain Saiss is being targeted by Turkish side Besiktas.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has not had the greatest start to the campaign. He has only started three league games and has come on in one, and has found it difficult to adapt to playing at centre back – which is where Nuno Espirito Santo has deployed him in recent weeks. WhoScored have given him an average rating of 6.08 so far in the league, which is the 17th-highest in the squad. Furthermore, he has averaged just 5.46 in his games in central defence, whereas he averages 6.7 in midfield.
The Moroccan will be able to have a full rest in preparation for his match with Besiktas after he was sent off versus Crystal Palace for two yellow card offences.
The majority of Wolves fans want to see him stay, it seems. However, one offered to drive Saiss’ taxi if he was to depart the club, and another suggested that he should be able to leave once a replacement is sourced.
