Wolves: These fans are unconvinced by Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad depth comments

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo feels that he has a large enough squad to compete in four tournaments this season, despite failing to win their first four Premier League games.

Joe Edwards, Wolves reporter for the Express & Star, tweeted comments from Nuno about their squad depth after yesterday’s defeat at Everton (via @JoeEdwards_Star).

When asked if Wolves’ squad was big enough to contend with Europa League matches on top of Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup commitments, Nuno replied: “We have 60 players“.

Wolves have already played 10 matches in all competitions this season and, at a minimum, will have 34 more Premier League games, one game each in the domestic cups and six Europa League group matches. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]

Nuno used just 21 players in the Premier League last season, with all but four of those making 17 or more appearances. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
