Two of Wolves’ three most-used players in 2019/20 are centre-backs, with Conor Coady playing 1,440 minutes and Willy Boly featuring for 1,260 minutes. Nuno’s other senior centre-backs Ryan Bennett and Jesus Vallejo have played 887 and 450 minutes respectively. [via TransferMarkt]

While the club managed to get Vallejo in on loan from Real Madrid in the summer, their reported pursuit of Benfica defender Ruben Dias proved to be unsuccessful, as reported by the Express & Star.
These Wolves fans on Twitter agreed that the centre-back area is one where the squad should be strengthened in the January transfer window:
1 quality CB 1 quality cm and 1 quality forward
