Wolves: Fans react as Cutrone return claim emerges

Wolves: Fans react as Cutrone return claim emerges - Premier League

A lot of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by Wolves news Twitter account @TalkingWolves, which relayed the reported news that Old Gold striker Patrick Cutrone is set to return to Molineux.

Cutrone, who was signed by Wolves from AC Milan for £19.8m back in the summer of 2019, scored just three goals in his 24 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side last season.

He departed from the West Midlands club and returned to his native Italy in January, as he secured a loan move to Fiorentina which is set to conclude at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, but as of yet, it may be fair to say that he’s failed to impress at the Serie A club.

He’s hit the back of the net just five times in his 33 appearances for Fiorentina so far and failed to score a single goal so far this season.

Now, per Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, Cutrone’s loan spell at Viola may be set to end prematurely, as it’s been stated ‘as fact’ that the 22-year-old will return to Molineux when the transfer window re-opens next month, with Wolves attacker Raul Jimenez out of action after suffering a fractured skull

So, how did these Wolves fans react to this claim on Cutrone?

Many Wolves fans shared a positive reaction to this claim after it was relayed by @TalkingWolves on Twitter, indicating that they’d like to see the £13.95m-rated striker back in action for the Old Gold, despite the fact he wasn’t exactly prolific for the West Midlands club last time around.
