Lots of Wolves fans have responded to the claims that it has “gone very quiet” on the Nuno Espirito Santo to Arsenal front.
Is the Wolves project more appealing than Arsenal's?
According to reports from the The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, the Gunners are allegedly much more keen on other candidates who are available right at this time – more specifically ones who are not currently contracted elsewhere – such as Max Allegri or Mauricio Pochettino.
With the West Midlands side currently sitting sixth in the Premier League and in the final 32 of the Europa League after less than a season and a half of being back in England’s top tier, this is understandably music to the ears of fans.
Unai Emery was sacked from his post at the Emirates after his side slumped to a 2-1 loss at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Initially, Nuno was deemed to be a top target for the club as per the Daily Mail, however, David Ornstein has given Wanderers supporters some belief from his previous words.
Lots of fans responded to the claims that he is not on the shortlist with positive replies. One fan even suggested that he was confident that he ‘never was’ a candidate, while others just celebrated the news.
Here are some of the replies below…
