World class boss ‘agrees deal’ to become Chelsea manager

Atletico MadridChelsea fans gathering around the sofas for the Blues crucial Champions League clash this evening were given an exciting report to discuss before kick-off, which suggested their managerial search has concluded.

Spanish outlet OK Diario report that Diego Simeone has informed Atletico Madrid that he is leaving in the summer, after agreeing a deal worth £9.28m-a-year with Chelsea.

Chelsea are currently being led by Guus Hiddink, who they remain unbeaten under, but the Dutchman is only on a short term deal and Roman Abramovich has been searching for the next long-term appointment ever since axing Jose Mourinho.

Simeone has always been amongst the bookies favourites for the job, with the highly-rated Argentine manager leading Atletico to vast success in the past few years- including winning La Liga and the Europa League.

With this summer marking Simeone’s fifth year at the helm of the Madrid side, the South American boss may decide it’s time for a new challenge and the Premier League would be the most likely destination.

Our landlord rates Simeone extremely highly but he feels he may not be the right man for Chelsea, as his controversial behaviour at times is too similar to Jose Mourinho.
