Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern hoping for big-name additions in the summer have received a massive boost, with positive reports concerning the club’s move for a quality striker.
Metro cites quotes from the agent of Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani as revealing he’d prefer to work with Antonio Conte, who’s widely expected to be named the new boss at Stamford Bridge for next season.
“In three months everything can change. Edinson could stay at PSG, who have an ambitious project, but also he could change. Who do I prefer between Jose Mourinho, Conte and Massimo Allegri? There are three big coaches, but for Edy I’d prefer the attacking game of Conte and Allegri.”
Cavani is expected to leave PSG this summer amidst a major overhaul for the French giants, which also sees world-class forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic available on a free transfer. However, unlike Ibrahimovic, Cavani may accept a move to a club without Champions League football.
With Chelsea desperate for more goals from their attacking line-up, this could be a match made in heaven.
