World Cup Group B star puts Arsenal & Liverpool on alert

4409236Fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been impressed by Chile during this World Cup and in particular their full back Mauricio Isla.

According to the Daily Star, they are not the only ones as both Liverpool and Arsenal are taking an interest in the Juventus right back.

Both clubs are currently in the market for a player of that mould, especially Arsenal after the Gunners lost French international Bacary Sagna to Manchester City.

Liverpool are also on the hunt with Glen Johnson, 29, still yet to agree a new contract despite being in the last year of his deal at Anfield.

It has been Johnson, who today, has received a lot of stick from the England fans in the tavern for his lacklustre performances so far in a fruitless World Cup campaign for the Three Lions.

Isla is currently rated at around the £15 million mark but if he continues to impress at this World Cup, that valuation is likely to rise significantly.

Arsenal fans. How impressed have you been with Chilean right back Mauricio Isla and is he the man to replace Bacary Sagna? Let us know your thoughts below.
