As according to the Daily Mail, Bony’s agent has slammed the Magpies.
Dalibor Lacina revealed that Newcastle rejected the chance to sign his client for £10 million last summer and insisted they will not get another chance this summer because they lack ambition.
Newcastle among other clubs including Arsenal and Tottenham are all believed to be in the hunt for the Ivorian striker.
It’s thought that Lacina and Bony will only respond to clubs inside the top six offering £20 million for the former Vitesse Arnhem striker who of course enjoyed a great first season in the Premier League.
His great performances have unsurprisingly made him an integral part of Garry Monk’s side but the Swans are unlikely to stand in his way should a £20 million bid come in from elsewhere.
Newcastle United fans. Is Wilfried Bony even worth of a £20 million transfer fee? Let us know your thoughts below.
