World Cup star favours Arsenal switch over Liverpool

Alexis Sanchez (Chile):Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have a right to be pleased as Metro claim that Alexis Sanchez would snub Liverpool in order to sign for the Gunners.

The Chilean winger would ideally prefer to remain at Barcelona, but should that not be the case, he is unwilling to be part of a deal for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez and would be all ears regarding a move to North London.

Sanchez has been on the radar of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger for some time now and would certainly have something to prove should he leave the Camp Nou after two seasons.

Sanchez has enjoyed a fine World Cup for Chile despite the South American side crashing out at the last 16 stage, courtesy of a penalty defeat to Brazil.

As one of our punters claims, Barcelona and their newly instated boss Luis Enrique are keen to raise money to buy who they see as the next generation of players for the club.

At present, the Catalan club do no see Sanchez as one of those, meaning they will cash in should an offer matching their £18 million valuation comes to fruition this summer.

Arsenal fans. Is this good news? Should Arsene Wenger get a move on with his dealings so that the Gunners can actually get one of their top targets? Let us know your thoughts below.
