Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern did not think it would be long before the links between Manchester United and Wesley Sneijder were back and Metro have just made our day.
The publication have once again claimed that the Dutchman would consider a move to Old Trafford and that working under Louis van Gaal at club level might be too hard for the player to resist.
Galatasaray star Sneijder of course knows the new United boss well from their time in the national side together and they are making a good job of showing just what they can do in Brazil this summer, leading to a few United fans suggesting the move could be on.
The player himself claimed: “In the Netherlands, van Gaal is something like the head teacher of a school.
“Not everyone is lucky enough to get into his good books.
“I am happy at Galatasaray, I have established myself at the club and have settled in.
“However, if Van Gaal were to make me an offer, I would have to at least consider it. Nobody from the Netherlands can simply reject Van Gaal.”
Manchester United fans. Do you think this is a come and get me plea from the midfielder? Is he too old to make a move for now? Let us know your thoughts below.
