World star reveals he rejected Man United transfer last summer

VidalManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t had too much to be cheerful about this season and their woes have been increased, as a phenomenal player has revealed he rejected a transfer to the club.

Bayern Munich’s quality midfielder Arturo Vidal has told The Times that he rejected Manchester United for the Bavarian giants last summer, when the Chilean Copa America winner left Juventus.

28-year-old Vidal has been a target of the Red Devils for years and a move came close last summer, before the Chilean ace rejected the Red Devils to move to the Bundesliga.

“Yes, there was a chance to come to England. It was last summer, and at one point, we thought that is what would happen.”

“I liked the opportunity that they had offered me, but eventually it did not happen and I chose to come to Bayern. There are always many teams around that go to my agent. I wanted to come to a team this strong and to a project that is so ambitious. I feel very happy.”

“It helped that I knew what the country was like and what the people were like. We are better, me and my wife and my children. Life is good, very calm. We are starting to feel more comfortable.”

With 22 Bundesliga appearances under his belt this season, Vidal has helped Bayern Munich keep on the path towards another league title and he’s now preparing for a meeting against his former side, Juventus, in the Champions League tomorrow.

Our landlord believes there’s no doubt Vidal made the right choice by joining Bayern, as he believes they’re far better than the Red Devils.
