Everton fans playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that a leading Serie A side are looking at making a January bid for one of their players.
Talksport (via CalcioMercato) are reporting that AC Milan are readying a £10 million bid for Kevin Mirallas.
The impressive Belgian has been frozen out of the first team picture at Goodison Park so far this season due to the form of players like Arouna Kone, Aaron Lennon, Steven Naismith, and Gerard Deulofeu.
The 28-year-old is growing increasingly frustrated with his lack of game time on Merseyside, and knows he needs to be playing regularly to earn a place in Belgium’s squad for this summer’s European Championships in France.
Reports suggest that Milan are ready to help him achieve his goals for the summer by offering him an escape route and first team football.
It is also reported that negotiations over the player between the two sides could begin as early as next week.
The Everton fans here inside the Transfer Tavern are disappointed that they may lose Mirallas in January, but fully understand his reasons for wanting to leave the club in January, should a move go through!
Meanwhile, our landlord here in the Tavern feels Roberto Martinez should do all he can to keep Mirallas at Goodison Park, because on his day, he is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League!
