One of the biggest transfer stories to be getting discussed here in the Transfer Tavern has to be that concerning Philippe Coutinho’s potential move to Barcelona.
Indeed, many opposing fans have taken their opportunity to wind up our local Liverpool supporters over the potential leaving of their magician though nothing has come to pass yet.
Indeed, according to The Mirror, things are all going to depend on whether Neymar leaves for PSG in a huge money move – an event that would need the Catalans to get in a replacement ASAP.
And it’s thought that Coutinho is the prime candidate to come in, though Spurs and Chelsea fans had better look out as the report mentions that Eden Hazard or Dele Alli are also on the La Liga side’s list of options.
One of the three, then, could make the move to Spain before the end of the market and many here by the bar have been debating just who would be the best option for the Blaugrana.
The consensus is, then, that Hazard might be the most suitable Neymar replacement but don’t just take the punters’ words for it, here’s what our landlord reckons:
Of the three, it does seem as though Hazard is the best placed to take over from Neymar.
All three are top players but whilst Alli is a completely different kind of star to Neymar, Hazard matches his dribbling and wing play better than Coutinho.
Coutinho has his merits, and seems to be Barca’s main target, but if it’s a choice between the trio, it should be the Belgian that they go after.
