The resident Gunners in the Transfer Tavern were delighted with their side’s performance against Crystal Palace in the Premier League yesterday evening.
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal recorded a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Roy Hodgson’s resurgent Crystal Palace last night in the clubs penultimate match of 2017. Jack Wilshere continued his return to first-team football in Arsenal red with a complete performance in central-midfield and he capped off his display with an assist for Alexis Sanchez’s decisive 2nd goal of the match. And after going off the boil for large spells of the season so far, that man Sanchez returned to his brilliant best despite the fact that doubts over his future continue to loom at the Emirates.
There were a few key Arsenal performances that were worthy of being singled out for individual praise, but despite the victory, there were plenty of Gunners on Twitter who were eager to criticise rather than praise.
One man who has been particularly targeted for criticism by the supporters is Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin who played the full 90 minutes at right-wing-back yesterday.
Bellerin has been an ever-present in the Arsenal side this campaign and he is yet to miss a single minute of Premier League football.
However, judging by the attitude of the fans on Twitter, it appears that Wenger might just be Bellerin’s biggest and only fan at the moment.
Here’s how the Arsenal supporters reacted to Bellerin’s performance last night…

Can Debuchy be worse than Bellerin ryt now???….Wenger's blind faith in these players has always been his greatest undoing… Let him regain his form, that's when he will remember he has Barca's DNA…

I’ve been saying it for years now that Bellerin is so overrated it’s ridiculous.
Other than speed the bloke has nothing. He’s just a Spanish Walcott.
I’d much prefer Debuchy in every aspect!!— Sully (@shaunsully85) December 28, 2017
Apart from growing a ‘moustache’ that a 15 year old would be proud of, and changing to a greasy shit hairstyle, what has Bellerín developed? Certainly ain’t his football – that’s gone backwards in spectacular fashion.

No manager to give any guidance/instructions. If Pep had him he'd easily be world's best right back.
