‘Would be a good move’, ‘He’s been gone for years’ – Liverpool fans are expecting this man to leave in January

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting some business to be conducted in January. The Reds have had a mixed season so far, but with the majority of the season still to go, there is more than enough time for them to get back into the top four. It has been a weekend of celebrations in the pub, owing to the Reds’ dominant win over Southampton at the weekend, but the chatter today has very much moved towards transfer dealings.

In particular, there has been a focus on a recent article produced by the Mirror. The Mirror report that Daniel Sturridge has made the decision to leave Anfield in search of regular first-team football. With the 2018 World Cup on the horizon, it is said that the Englishman is determined to represent his country in Russia.

Sturridge has had a tough season this term, and Jurgen Klopp chose not to give him a starting berth over the weekend, and so a lack of game time is a concern for him.

A departure, though, seemingly isn’t a concern for the Liverpool fans online. A discussion has cropped up over on the Liverpool fan Reddit page regarding this story, and it’s fair to say that most supporters aren’t against the idea of seeing him leave the club.
