West Ham United haven't gotten off to the best of starts as they could find themselves worrying about relegation at such an early stage.

The Hammers will be desperate to end Chelsea's unbeaten streak by securing all three points tomorrow as they aim to secure their second successive victory under Manuel Pellegrini. Although, they did suffer a setback on the injury front recently, as according to Football.london, Xande Silva is expected to be out for at least six weeks.

Xande Silva was a summer recruit from Vitoria de Guimaraes , but he has now suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to be out for at least six weeks.

Silva was training with the first team when it happened earlier this week as Manuel Pellegrini drafted him into the setup at Rush Green but the striker has suffered a very unfortunate blow.

So, it appears as if the promising youngster has been stopped in his tracks, just as things were opening up for him.

THE VERDICT:

There's no doubt that Xande Silva will be a part of the first team in the future at the London Stadium, but his current injury is definitely a setback as things were beginning to look promising.

However, the promising forward will be looking to get back fitter and stronger to really push for a first team place under Manuel Pellegrini, who is growing fond.
