Everton may have to wait a little longer before they see one of their summer signings make his debut for the club.
The French media outlet has claimed that the Colombia international’s agent has told them that the defender had a crack in the fourth metatarsal of his left foot and will be out for a minimum of three weeks.
The news could not have come at a worse time for Everton and Marco Silva as they are winless in their last four Premier League matches.
The Toffees appeared to chase Mina for a number of weeks over the summer before managing to convince Barcelona to sell him, however, he arrived with an injury.
Silva would have been hoping the player could have been in action for the Goodison Park outfit in the near future, however, it appears the end of October or November is more likely.
Everton have so far had to use the likes of Phil Jagielka and Kurt Zouma in the middle of the defence, but their concerns at the back have continued.
The defence has struggled throughout the Premier League campaign, having already conceded a total of 11 goals, with five coming in their last two matches.
