Metro have Liverpool fans rolling their eyes here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that the Reds will struggle to keep rising star Pedro Chirivella at the club.
The Spaniard has been training with the first team this season, which is of course a huge honour, and has been hailed as the next Xabi Alonso who both Liverpool and his suitors Real Madrid know well given the player has won the Champions League with both sides.
According to one of our punters, as if the form of Liverpool in comparison to Real Madrid was not bad enough, the fact that Chirivella is Spanish and could well desire a move to one of the biggest clubs in La Liga may well work against the Merseyside club when it comes to keeping him.
However, given Reds manager Brendan Rodgers speaks Spanish, there could well be light at the end of the tunnel for the Anfield club yet!
The 17-year-old is currently tied down to a four-year deal at Anfield but given how determined Real Madrid are to get add him to their youth set up, that may not be the case for much longer.
