Sheffield United made their return to the Premier League one to remember as they snatched a late point at Bournemouth.
After falling behind to a scrambled effort from Chris Mepham, the Blades rallied as Billy Sharp poked home to send the travelling Blades supporters into hysteria at the Vitality Stadium.
It capped a remarkable few years for Sharp, who has fired in the goals to get United into the top flight, although he had to make do with a place on the bench yesterday as Chris Wilder opted to go with new signing Callum Robinson alongside David McGoldrick.
However, Sharp would be the one who got his side off the mark before he wheeled away in delight to join the masses of Blades fans down in Bournemouth.
The 33-year-old is clearly loved by the United fans – after all, he was described as ‘Mr Sheffield United’ by his manager – and after taking to Twitter yesterday to share his thoughts and feelings on the game and moment itself, it’s safe to say there was plenty of love directed his way from the Blades faithful…

What an amazing story Billy congratulations. Remember seeing you in training at SUFC in 2005 and Ron Reid said this lad is a natural goal scorer and will go far. He was spot on. Keep living the dream.
