The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story in The Yorkshire Evening Post that claims Leeds could be set to sack Paul Heckingbottom and look for a new manager as rumours circle that Andrea Radrizzani wants to go foreign. A number of names have been linked with the job such as Filippo Inzaghi, Michael Laudrup and Claudio Ranieri.

Paul Heckingbottom left Barnsley for Leeds in February, replacing Thomas Christensen who was sacked after The Whites 4-1 loss away at Cardiff. The Elland Road faithful were hoping that last season would have brought promotion with it, although it turned out to be yet another disappointing campaign as Leeds fell to a 13th place finish, despite hanging onto a play-off place at the turn of the year.
If the club are to bring a new manager in, the fans will want an assurance that the new man will both have funds to spend in the transfer market and that the new man will be given at least a full season in charge. All of the discussed candidates have the credentials to be a success at the Yorkshire club, however, it remains to be seen how the club will look to move forward as they aim to end their 14 year stay outside of the top-flight.
You can read our local Whites’ verdict on the managerial update here:
Should never have even bothered with PH. TC should have been given to the end of the season, could hardly have been any worse.
One time I have actually been correct.

Laudrup wont come as he is taking a break from coaching. Stam? Hell no!! Go for Ranieri.

Neil at Preston would be my choice

Lee, any idea when Heckingbottom due back off holiday? Surely got to be the end, gut feeling?

Back him or sack him. The uncertainty is doing no good. #lufc

Orta wanted him & Radz let him choose. Not buying into Orta’s appointment so far. Got a big season ahead of him & if he fails again then Radz will have to grow some & get shut
