Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are beyond pleased with their recent run of form, as Jurgen Klopp seems to have found the winning formula at Anfield.
The Reds have had a season to remember in many respects, after recruiting some potential Kop legends that have rewarded the side with a chance to recreate the magical European nights that Anfield used to buzz off. Indeed, after heading into the summer months with aspirations to seal deals for defenders and maybe even a goalkeeper, Jurgen Klopp left the transfer window empty-handed in that department, as fans feared the worst.
This could be seen in the early performances the Reds had, as goalkeeping errors and defensive frailties halted the progress of Klopp’s side, despite the wonderful attacking play on offer. There’s been a huge shadow of doubt hanging over the future of Belgian Simon Mignolet in recent times, as his lacklustre performance that was rigged with errors at the Emirates has seen Loris Karius takes his place.
Karius has been waiting in the wings for some time now, and having been given his chance against Manchester City, it’s sadly only gone to prove that a goalkeeper is needed now more than ever at Anfield.
However, the Liverpool’s Twitter account took to posting a statement from Loris Karius, as the shot-stopper looks to repay Klopp for his recent inclusion in the side.

So, with a loss of faith being seen in the performances of both of the Reds’ goalkeepers, here’s a look at exactly the sort of reactions fans gave off on social media…

Looking forward to Karius proving his doubters wrong.

I’m nervous the world ninety minutes when this lad is in goal

For the long term ? You’re being optimistic you’re off in summer lad

I hope Karius does well but I just don’t see any real potential in him. He’s so nervous! He has quick distribution which helps our quick attacks but shot stopping is poor, commanding his box is awful & his decision making below par. What do people see as his best bits?

Worth about 3 pence in this market. Still more than Mingolet though who is offered as free gift if Karius bought for 3 pence.
