Scoring 26 goals in your breakthrough season is some achievement for any player and for rising Chelsea star Tammy Abraham, it couldn’t have been much better.
The 19-year-old forward who has been on-loan at Bristol City all season has finally returned to Stamford Bridge after his loan spell at Ashton Gate ended.
The England U21 international has single-handedly kept Bristol in the division this season and despite their 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City earlier this afternoon, it’s clear to see just how much of an impact the youngster has had on the Bristol faithful.
The pocket of Reds fans here in the Tavern will be eternally grateful for the work he’s put in this season and you can seriously argue that it’s his goals that have kept the Robins in the division this season.
His future at Stamford Bridge will surely be discussed over the summer months but as for Bristol City, he’s made quite the impression playing under Robins manager Lee Johnson.
Here’s the best of the reaction as he played his last game earlier today…
@tammyabraham Good luck on your next step pal. You've been sensational! Would welcome you back to your Bristol home any day. All the best!
